EID-UL-ADHA 2025: WRAPPING A SUCCESSFUL YEAR UP
“In the end, we will not be remembered for the things we claimed, but for the compassion we showed and the bridges we built.” -Elif Shafak
Salaam Readers,
This Eid ul-Adha, BlessEid was honored once again to spread joy to families in need across Calgary and Edmonton. Thanks to the incredible support of our community and partners, we successfully created and delivered 65 Eid gift backpacks for Eid-ul-Adha – each thoughtfully curated with STEM activity kits, puzzles and sketch books, self-care sets, toys, journaling kits, books, water bottles, and snacks. Alhamdullilah, this brings us to a total of 131 packages delivered this year, all thanks to you!
This Eid, we shifted from traditional baskets to backpacks, making the gifts even more useful for children and families. The focus on education and nourishment reflects our ongoing commitment to giving meaningful gifts that can be enjoyed now and continue to serve a purpose long after Eid.
We’re also proud to have continued our collaboration with our nonprofit partners like The Green Room, Assured Family Foundation, and The Nisa Foundation. Additionally this year, we were thrilled to welcome Human Appeal as our newest collaborator and sponsor. Their generous $1,000 donation helped put our total funds raised at $11240.33. We are incredibly grateful for all of our collaborators and donors who put their belief in our mission.
To our community—every donor, every volunteer, and every person who shared our message—thank you. Your generosity and kindness are the heart of BlessEid. As we reflect on the journey so far, we at BlessEid remain deeply committed to our mission of delivering meaningful gifts, building stronger communities, and ensuring that every child feels celebrated every Eid.
With gratitude,
The BlessEid Team
